S/Y Explore North

Explore North is a expedition equipped sailing boat produced by Alubat in France. The Ovni 435 draws only 0,8 meters with the keel and rudder folded, so we can reach the most isolate beach or harbor. The boat is built in aluminum and the interior is oak to keep her as environmental friendly as possible.

She has three cabins and two people can sleep comfortable in every cabin. There is also room for two people in the saloon, and that’s usually where the skipper and guide sleeps.

She is fitted with two different heating systems to handle arctic conditions and she has a drying cabinet for wet days. Explore North is also equipped with a dinghy with motor, a double kayak and diving gear.

Ovni 435 is a serious long distance cruiser that can handle  all the weather that comes along. A number of the over 110 Ovni 435 produced is today sailing around the world.

S/Y Lille Polaris

S/Y Lille Polaris is a Hutting built Koopmans 44 pilothouse, built in aluminium. She is equipped to the highest standard and is the the yacht for the explorer. S/Y Lille Polaris is made for handling the roughest conditions in the arctic, and is very well equipped.

The winter 2009-10 she has undergone a major refit. A skilled Swedish craftsman, has together with owner Sture Ellingsen, done a remarkable job in redesigning the interior and put their personal touch on this classic yacht.

The boat is now based on beautiful Kjerringøy, and this gives easy access to steep mountains and excellent snow conditions this coming winter. Kjerringøy is only a few miles north of Bodø.
